Can you smell a 2 stroke bike overheat?

My 01 RM125 i think overheated. Its new to me but me and my friend were riding and we came back to get a drink and it smelled like coolant and it was leaking coolant. We let it sit for a while and i checked the coolant level and i could see any so we put a coolant water mix in it. We started it today (didn't ride it) but idles kinda low and bogs when you gas it a bit i think couldn't really tell. There is a new top end in it. Do i need to check anything? Did it just make that bit of coolant in it really hot and dribble out? Am i safe to ride?
how do i check for coolant in my oil? It might just be a hose loose? Like a clamp? I dont think there was too much coolant in it before. It was coming OUT of the bike not in somewhere how could it be in my oil?
 
It smells like hot metal. And you can feel it's real hot. You just blew a water line somewhere. Check your hoses. Or your radiator cap, maybe it's time to replace it.
 
check your oil.......... see if there is coolant in it... if so you're most likely screwed.... it's hard for it to just evaporate off.. it has to be going somewhere...
