I have a paradise fish/macropodus opercularis in my 30 gallon with a school of tiger barbs, and a group of corydoras. Male or female? (5-6cm/2-2.5inch so maybe juvie)
When they get older the males will be more color full vs the female who will be more dull looking. Most of the ones in pet shops are male for this reason. Watch the barbs as they grow so the paradise fish don't get picked on. Good Luck
If you post a good, high quality pic I can sex them for you Maybe. Its hard form pictures somtimes, plus your guys are still young.
females have a pretty dull color, while males had fantastic coloring .. I think males are a bit longer and thinner, leaving females a bit "taller" and stubbier. The fins and coloring are the dead giveaway, though. If the fins are longer, and the coloring is brighter, you've got a male on your hands.
