Can you see into the engine from the wheel well in all 2003 honda crv's?

i noticed that you can see into the engine if you look through the wheel well of my crv and wondered if that was normal or if i got ripped off in my purchase. i know other cars are completely covered so i was wondering if honda crvs and supposed to be the same way.
