can you save your movies onto a usb drive, and play them in a car dvd indash player...

...with usb connectivity? instead of ripping movies on a dvd disk to play them in my in dash dvd flip out stereo in my car. can i just save them onto a thumbdrive or an external harddrive and plug it up in my ride. are there stereo's out there that support this feature. if so. i will like to get my hands on one. if not. I'll just keep ripping dvd's and doing it the old way?
