instead of hiring someone to work 4 you? I have a lawn business that is growing, and I need to start hiring people to help run it. I am weary because when you have people working for you, you are taking on more liability. Is it possible to sale part of the business so I want assume liability? The person buying the business can pay it off over a period of time, and if payment is stopped he loses ownership of the business.

You can sell anything - this is America! Just find a willing buyer and explain your route and clients and let him pay as you have required with a written & notarized of Bill of sale. If payments are required - you make another Contract of Sale, which states condition of sale and amount of money due each month, and for how long. Also state that if your buyer misses one payment - he forfeits the business and route, and all equipment that was included in the sale, in the condition that he received it - or he will have to replace at your cost.
