They're the same plastic as soda bottles, so I know the material is recyclable, but peanut butter jars always have so much stuck to the sides of container so I don't know if you can recycle that or not.
technically speaking, no....i try to recycle *everything*, but peanut butter jars are one item that i DO throw in the trash - it's not worth wasting all that time, hot water, and soap to remove it all....btw, simply rinsing them in hot water does NOT remove all that peanut butter, as i'm sure you already know! - just toss them.
