I came across this device - it's called WD Live TV Hub. It has great built in interface and an onboard 1TB hard Drive. Looks like it won't accept a TV signal directly but it will save TV that through your computer --- my question is this - is it possible to use this device to store and play Rogers Digital Cable?
NOTE --- I have a Rogers HD Set top box -- so I can send the unscrambled signal to a computer through a TV Tuner card -- then record the unscramlbed program to the WD Live TV Hub and watch that on my big screen --- since the WD box is equipped with ethernet I'm eventaully hoping to add additional cheaper devices that will enable my other TVs in the house to share the same recorded programs... This is my theory, and I can't see why it won't work --- however I thought I'd check here forst to see if anyone else has tried/done this before?
Any suggestions or workarounds would be helpful.
My desired goal is to create a Network storage drive where I can store recorded programs and through a desktop interface like the (WD Live TV) can access the drive and pull up the shows on any tv in my house.
