Can you read more than one book at once?

If you can, how do you split time up between books? I'm reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, but I'm also reading Angels and Demons...both books extremely entertaining. I'm to the point where I don't know what book to read, how would you deal with this?

I normally read only one book at a time unless I find it too boring to continue. A book has to hold interest and reading two books at a time feels like comparing notes rather than living the story.

I always have a couple of books in the bathroom, on the windowsill, a stack of them on my nightstand (I only read one out of the stack at a time, though), a couple on the table next to my living room chair, and a couple in my purse. I read the book that is nearest to me at any given time.

I read the books in my purse when I am in a waiting room, or if I'm eating alone, or something similar.
