College Nightmare
Yes I finally completed high school and I am now on with my happy life, no more school, but what is this college? Yes I am still stuck in the school community. Don’t get me wrong college is grand but being a member of this culture comes with its downsides. College is a community where feeling rushed is the norm, and sometimes I like many others might not like their teachers or classes. But being in college is an amazing culture to be part of; after all it is a course of action that will always go with us.
As a member of the college community I think I can speak for everyone when I say that college is a fast paces environment. Where sometimes being in hurry is inevitable and can lead to chomping on Ramen instant soups or settling for fast food while finishing your paper the day before the deadline. Sure the food might make you fat in the future but eh, no time to feel sorry about that now; there are essays, papers, and homework that needs to be finished. Maybe it is time to start thinking about another all nighter. One day, hopefully this madness will all come to an end, but for now back to class; listening to the same teacher over and over, I they had a mute button.
Being in the school community can lead you to taking some classes that you might not like so much, but if t he class is required there is nothing that can be done but to stick it out and persevere. Now I as others have all had a teacher that makes one wonder what kind of institution certified them. And although rare, it might be possible to get stuck with a teacher that likes to sprinkle moister over his students, what a nightmare, and he wonders why nobody sits in the front. Now being in the school community one would have checked sites that are frequented by many college students like www.ratemyprofessors.com and know what one would be committing to beforehand. I like to refrain from screening my teachers though because if I would I might not take some classes, which might prolong my stay at college.
Being a part of the College culture is wonderful experience. Sure some might say otherwise but I would like to look at the positive that this culture has to offer. I have met friends and people that I would not have otherwise meet due to not living in the same city. I am hopeful that I will be successful with all the tools and knowledge I up here. And maybe a couple years from now when I drive by in my Mercedes or BMW, I will look at the school and be thankful; after all it helped me reach successful heights.
College might not be such a great experience what with having to pay out hundreds of dollars just to be a part of this community, but in the end it is greatly beneficial. I hope I don’t fall asleep in my classes like some of my peers might do, and if I do, I blame all the home work. And I wish I would never drop a class, if I would not like my teacher, why would I want to prolong my stay here. But hopefully I receive my credentials and exit this culture and move on to the next one. But for now back to the books, our future awaits.
