Can you or does the fact the bass has got not metal frets stop you playing slap/pop or does it just change the slap sound?
I'm just asking because I know that when you slap the string bounces off the metal frets.
You must be able to slap on a fretless because in Jaco Pastorius' Come ON, Come Over he slaps a bit and he played on a 1960 Fretless Fender Jazz Bass, unless he had a fretted bass aswell.
