I'm considering buying a Mac, but, being a gamer, I don't want to lose any gaming time. Is it possible to play games that are designed for Windows on Boot Camp? I really would like to know any information before I buy.
Boot Camp is software that enables one to install Mac OS X and Windows side-by-side on Apple hardware. It is not an OS itself. You still need to install Windows, which means you need a licensed copy.
But once you have Windows installed, Boot Camp makes it easy for you to choose which OS to launch at boot time (hence the name).
Yes, windows will run like on any normal computer...because that is what it is doing. The Mac OS has noting to do with windows when it runs except the initial install. Windows games run very smooth on macs. You can dual boot both systems, just press "option" at startup and you can pick what system to boot in to.
