Can you pass STD's by oral sex?

I am a straight guy who thinks I have caugh a sexual transmitted infection, it is burning when I pee, I have a doctors apointment tomorrow, anyway my friend and I both got oral sex of off the same girl on the same night. We both didn't have sex with her. My friend his scared he has caught what ever I have as he has a girlfriend. Do you know what I might have from symptom described? and is it possible to pass on any infections to my friend from getting oral sex from the same girl? please help so worried.
 
YES stds can be passed during oral sex, fluids are being passed around and skin contact is being made which is how stds are passed. The burning when you pee could be just a urinary tract infection which can happen because lots of bacteria is also being passed around during sex, but if your worried then do have a doctor test you.
I had cold sores (oral herpes) passed to my genitals when my boy friend gave me oral sex with a cold sore one night, so passing stds on through oral sex is possible.
