I own a 2005 Yamaha R6, and the battery isn't holding much of a charge anymore. My mechanic told me that I can only use one kind of battery to replace it, which will cost around $120 just for the battery. I was wondering if anyone has had experience using other brands of batteries. Will using another brand be bad for the bike, or would it be fine as long as it has the same specs as the OEM one? Thanks.
Can you only replace a 2005 Yamaha R6 stock battery with another OEM one?
