Can you name any literary authors with an interesting life?

I have to do a research paper on an author of my choice, so I wanted someone with a pretty interesting or unique life. It's also best if this author has a lot of information or auto/biographies on their life.

I was really leaning towards Oscar Wilde, but I'm not sure if there's a lot of info on his life out there.

What are your thoughts and suggestions?
