N nine New member Feb 25, 2011 #1 I have 10w30 currently in my car. Today i went to get a state inspection and was told my oil was low. I have 10w40 in my trunk. Can i just put that in there? Ive read some people say its ok and others dont? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks
