Can you make a PS1 Console read a DVD with a game ISO/IMAGE burnt on it?

That would be nice if possible! Any hacks, etc are welcome! And I have the PSX emulator which works fine, just my computer has a tendency to freeze if being pushed "too" hard.
Thanks for any answers!

i'm not really sure, but i don't think it can. if i remember correctly, gamestop used to sell something like a hack system for ps1 a long time ago. (not anymore.) for other stuff, you could always try googling.

No the PS1 cannot read DVDs but yes for a CD.

My roommate ruined 2 original PS1's this way.
They might have added more protection in later models though.
You had to swap the disk in several times during start-up to trick it to boot the copy.

Not really worth it in the end and if you are playing games you do not own it's also illegal.

There are more sophosticated tools for the PS2 that let you rip games to an internal hard-drive and play them. They load *much* faster this way and it's great for games like RE or Castlevania because it virtually eliminates load-times between rooms. (PS2's play PS1 games if that wasn't clear.)

You have to have an orignal PS2 with the network adaptor and I forget the game of the software...

Where there is will there is a way, but it's easier to just get GameFly.
