Can you list all the US Cartoons in the 90s?

Howdy all,

Back last year, I started a pretty comprehensive Google Sheet that listed tried to list *ALL* the cartoons that were shown in the 1980s in the US.

I would like to do the same now with the 1990s and I'd like the rabroad communities help in putting it together.

Now there's one major caveat I have with all this spreadsheet. I am *ONLY* interested in series that were released in the US in any form. This doesn't include internet mediums like Youtube or Hulu because, well, they weren't around yet. This does include any series that was released to TV, Cable, official VHS releases and official DVD released.

Any information you wish to contribute would be helpful, but if you want to add to the information in a way that makes it as quick to add as possible, please copy and paste the below format:

Please check the Spreadsheet to ensure the series isn't already on the list before posting.

Please note, I am not including movies unless said movie was some sort of mini series (Like Inhumanoids). Series are posted based on the year the series started, so something like the Simpsons will fall under the 1980s since it premiered in 1989.

If you have any additional information to fill in from the 1980s sheet, feel free to chime in =).

Feel free to use this sheet for any reference needs in the future. I don't have any intentions on removing it from public view. This project is TOTALLY intended to be something everyone can benefit from =).

I'll wait before adding all the series I know of until we get this thread rolling =).

If you'd like access to directly edit it and help me with it, feel free to shoot me a private message.

Thanks for the help =).

I'll help you with your project, Knighthammer!

I hope that you will find this stuff useful, because it took me a long time to type all of this. I can also give information to other American-made 90's animated series, if you would like me to.

Thats a nice start =).

That covers a lot of the major series.

I'll get that updated on the spreadsheet later today.

Just to reiterate, I'm greatful for those who are willing to take the time to get all the information like Kevin the Geek did, but any series you can provide would be helpful.

Mgr91686,

I have to say that that format made it particularly easy for me to copy the info into the spreadsheet. I actually updated my spreadsheet based on what you provided for maximum ease of adding info =). Thanks for the idea =).

I'd love it if everyone would do it exactly like that, but as I said, I'm thankful for ANY help anyone wants to provide so I'm not choosy =).

Thanks =)

MortalKombat2007,

Thanks for the help but I already had most of what you gave me on the sheet already =(. I very much appreciate any help anyone is giving (it makes a great resource for a place like this) but I don't want to see anyone wasting time on stuff thats done.

Please double check the spreadsheet before you do the research =). Everything is listed in order by Genre then in ABC order (As and Thes removed).

BTW, let me take the chance to say if anyone has any corrections to the list that's verifiable, I'll gladly make changes. Also, if anyone sees something missing from the 80s list, let me know. As complete as that list is, there's still a few things I find myself adding on occasion. I actually added three in the last 2 days after starting work on this spreadsheet again.

Tom & Jerry Kids I didn't and I got that updated. Thanks for that one =).

Drr, I should have noticed.

It looks so much better then what we got =(

You know, I thought the 1980s was actually going to exceed the 1990s in Cartoons by a long shot, it turns out that as of right now the 1990s are in close striking distance of the 1980s and I think there's probably more then a few series that hasn't been listed yet. I'm surprised by this.

BTW, there's one series I am having trouble thinking of that I think may have come out in 1998 or 1999 on Fox. The series was something like "The Magician". The animation felt like it had a Zeta Project quality to it.

Anyone know the series?

Lol, I am actually very surprised.

The number of cartoons in the 1990s surpassed that of the 1980s.

Currently, I have 142 for the 1990s and 133 for the 1980s.'

I honestly thought there were more in the 1980s.

That being said only 12 series from the 1990s reached over 100 episodes with 4 in the 200s. while 15 series in the 1980s hit over 100 episodes with 3 of those in not in the 200s but 300+ (Simpsons being one those).

You're missing INVADER ZIM on your 2000 list.

Dinosausers is already on the 80s list.

Adventures of T-Rex --- I never even saw this series. Looks like it was only in a small number of markets. I'll get it added.

Invader Zim I'll throw on the list but my focus right now is 90s. 2000s and 2010s are really only on there when I run across a series I thought may have been in the 90s and its not or if I want to make sure I dont forget it when I come across something that reminds me of it or references it.

This information is not correct. Piggsburg Pigs! premiered on Saturday, September 15, 1990. For whatever reason, it was delayed a week from the Fox Kids premiere and Fox's Peter Pan and the Pirates aired in its place instead. Also, that finale date is not correct either: the last repeat of the show aired on Saturday, August 31, 1991 while the last new episode aired on Saturday, January 26, 1991.

Sorry for the double-post, but this information is not accurate either. Taz-Mania did premiere on Fox Kids on Saturday, September 7, 1991, but the series premiered in primetime on Fox on Sunday, September 1, 1991. The series finale actually aired on Monday, May 22, 1995. The initial deal between Fox and Warner Bros. called for a 5 year run on the network. Although all episodes may have been produced by spring of 1993, they did not premiere until years later. This was because Fox wanted to spread them out so that new episodes aired throughout the 5 year run and there weren't years of just repeats (although only repeats aired in the final year between 1995-1996).
