I'm from a part of Northern California where the only real predator to cats was raccoons, and the two could coexist 99% of the time anyhow. Now we live in Southern California where coyotes are a very real threat to cats and it is recommended that you never let cats outdoors (and we don't).
We are planning a move to Seattle in the near future and I'm curious what the deal is: do people let their cats outside, or don't they?
I have had indoor/outdoor cats all my life and have never had any problems so please don't preach your "cats should remain indoors" stuff to me. The question is not "should I ever" it's "can I in Seattle." Thanks.
