It really depends on the brand of terrarium not to mention the sealants they use to put the thing together. Certain sealants aren't meant to be submerged and they could eventually wear away. I don't recommend it just for the sole sake of keeping it from leaking all over your floor as I had some mishaps in the past where I attempted to use a terrarium for my aquatic turtles....didn't quite end so well lol. Anyway you might as well save your self some future problems and just buy an equally large aquarium. Al least you wont have to worry yourself over the tank collapsing or leaking so much.
