can you join the Army with Hidradenitis Suppurativa?

A girl I was talking to today said she was planing on going into the Army after college and she said she was dropping weight to help her do this and to cut back on this condition she has called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. She told me what it was when I asked her, but then I started thinking that it would be impossible or at least hard to cope with while in Basic. So, whould she still be able to join or am I right?
 
i have this condition and i don't think it should affect her chances unless its uncontrolled and severe. i dont think it should stop her dream as she had no choice whether she had this problem or not and i support her al the way!!!
