Can you input an external video source to iPad or Galaxy tab or other tablets?

I have the HDMI adapter so that I can output video to an external TV etc. but I was wondering if it is technically possible to do that in reverse, say put the HDMI output from your XBOX to the Galaxy Tab screen? Or is there any other known way to do this?
