Can you help?

Ever since I had PLIF l4-S1 in 08 left leg and foot has been nurab.
The other night I was in bed and went to stretch my muscle in left buttock and had terrible pain shoot through my buttock and leg. At first I couldn't even lift my leg up at all. But a few mintues I was finally able to lift but with great pain.
Now I can hardly walk or stand without burning throbbling/shooting pain from lower back left side across top thigh into inside of the knee.
I don't have insurance won't until July.
Has anyone had this or something similar?

I had something similar in my neck. As soon as you can see a doctor you need to see an Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and/or Neurosurgeon. You shouldn't have the residual symptoms after surgery. When symptoms last this long they can become permanent.

I saw my ortho last time was in June. He said it was to early to tell if it was permanent or to wait 6 months. Then I got Medicaid and he wouldn't take it. I lost Medicaid because I don't get SSI now but SSD. So I have to wait.
I am ok as long as I set but standing or walking is so painful. My knee top of thigh feels like it going to explode.
 
Sorry to hear about your pain. I had L5S1 herniations that caused my foot to be nurab and I have 1/3 decreased nerve function in that leg. I had a fusion so I hope it will not come back. When my disc was out and pressing on my nerve that was the pain I had. Maybe one of your screws is loose or something shifted with the roRAB. I would ask your surgeon to see if he could see you as a follow up to what he did, and tell him your situation with lack of insurance. If he is an upstanding surgeon he will want to stand behind his operation and help you!! I would avoid any chiropractors until you know that things are stable. Good Luck

When I lost my insurance I tried everyway I know how to even talk to his PA, in which I adore,but they would not see me without insurance.
I had to have 2 stents put in. The vascular surgeon was very irritated of my back doctor. He told me that the doctor did not want to see me, that I was one of those patient that they don't know what else to do. Hated to have to face them. My luck.
I do think I have something loose,because if I move just right or step down a step a certain way something moves in my left side of my back.
But this pain is new I don't know if I need to do exercise that I over done it or what to do.

I talked to the nurse from vascular surgeon and she said sounRAB like to her it's from my back and sciatic and go a head and make an appointment for July.

I personally prefer Orthopedic Spine Surgeons. But both Orthopedic Spine Surgeons and Neurosurgeons can work on the entire spine. Sometimes it's good to see one of each if you are seeking to get a second opinion.
 
Yes I want a second opinion. Since he didn't want to take Tncare after he had told me he would on 2nd surgery.
