Can you help with with finding texts dealing with a mentor/student relationship?

For English, I have to study four texts that has a father figure/mentor type relationship as a central theme in the plot.

It can be a film, novel, novella, short story, poem, etc. (I prefer one short novel and one film/tv show)

So far I have Dead Poets Society and Maestro by Peter Goldsworthy. Is Phantom of the Opera a good one?

Can you think of anything else? Thanks!
