Can you help with economics coursework?

for my a-level economics coursework i need to compare the financial statements of two companies, the problem is i don't know what companies to compare. they can eb anything but they need to be major companies as i need to be able to gt hold of their financial statements online. I have been advised to choose companies that are in the same market so that i can look at why they are doing well compared to the other company etc. Finally i am not going to do the supermarkets as they are the obvious choice and are a but boring, which comapnies should i choose from the uk THANKS.
 
It should be two companies nominally within the same market sector but which are distinctly different otherwise you would have nothing to compare or write about. Banks would be hugely topical - how about comparing a relatively strong bank like HSBC or Standard Chartered neither of which have required government assistance with say Royal Bank of Scotland or HBOS? Or you might try two companies within the telecoms market say Vodafone (big in the mobile sector) with BT (landlines and broadband). Or two companies within the construction sector such as Redrow (house building which has taken a nose dive) with Balfour Beatty (mainly large civil engineering projects which the Government is continuing to fund).
