I have to write a poem for my English class about what makes a happy life to the average teen. I write poems all the time, but this poem has just got me stumped. I have all these ideas but I can't seem to put it into a poem form. This is what I have so far..
Happy Life
What makes a happy life?
The important things do;
The things that matter
The things that make you smile
The things you hold closest to your heart
Those that will never go away
When everything else will
Family;
The people you can’t stand
But could never live without
The people that drive you insane
But that you still love day in and day out.
Friends;
The family we choose
The people whom we have found
Real friends, well, they are the ones
You can always be yourself around
Music;
The great way to escape from reality
Making you feel you are not alone
Music doesn’t judge and never will
When you feel as though you’re on your own
Love;
The four letter word that is so conflicting
But the greatest thing one can ever feel
It makes you feel worthy
Love is an experience so surreal.

Then, i want to end it with:
The answer varies with every person
Happiness comes as quickly as it goes
I want to say something about money, education...can you guys just give me ideas? I have no idea what to write..Thanks!
