Hi,
I was thinking about buying the 2010 Mazda 3 iSport Sedan (5M i think) Base model in Arlington, VA and after reading websites like Carbuyingtips.com and Cars.com, I'm having trouble trying to find what the dealer 'actually' paid for the Mazda 3. A couple questions:
1. Can you help me find the actual cheapest value the dealer paid for? This should exclude the $750 destination charge the dealer paid.
2. If I want to include options such as an Air Conditioner, CD player, and power locks/windows, how much am I expecting to pay?
3. I'm assuming Question #1 and #2 will give me the base price before the markup value, right?
4. I was thinking of 3-5% profit for the dealer. What do you think?
5. I spoke to 2 dealers today and was able to get all the options included for $15,300 (both dealers came out at similar prices). Is this a 'great value' for the car?
6. I haven't test driver the car and I don't know what else is in the range on the price of the car? What other car models should I consider? I was not impressed by the body style of the Honda Civics. Do you have other recommendations?
7. Where else should I look for the Mazda 3? It has great reviews, but I don't know how to beat the price. I was hoping to bring the price down to $14,500 but I think I'm cutting too short! What do you think?
For all the questions above, if you can either provide some proof or justification to your reasoning, that would help GREATLY!
