my fiance bought me a 10 gal tank (complete) for Christmas, i washed it out, rinsed the gravel, plants, pump, filter, heater etc..
treated the water with the necessary tank starter and let the water circulate before buying fish..
anyway i bought 2 small angels, a pair of swordtails, a pair of silver mollies and 3 plattys..(i soaked the bags in the tank to adjust the water they were in to the tank temp)
i soon found out that the molly female had ick so i treated the tank as per instructions on the bottle..soon the other fish showed signs of the disease and i started losing the fish (2 a night)...
i woke up this morning and my tank is drained of anything living in it..
what more could i have done to save them?
