I'm seriously torn about the type of car I should get. I've saved just under $9k for a new car. I know the car won't be the greatest but I really don't want to borrow money to get one financed. I'm one of the few American's who believe in saving and paying in full. With that being said, I am looking for something dependable with decent gas mileage. Something with some rev as I drive on the expressway to work each day. This will be my fourth car. My parents have purchased my other cars in the past and this is probably my first big purchase. I'm 28 and insurance for my current vehicle, a 2004 Malibu is fairly low, about $85 a month. I'd like something a big cooler but not too sporty because I want to keep my insurance low. Foreign or domestic? V6 or V8? Sedan or SUV or pickup? Decent gas mileage? Low cost to maintain? Thanx - all
p.s. My current vehicle, my Malibu, will not be used as a trade in. I am giving the car to my younger sister when she graduates from high school in a few weeks. I hope to have another vehicle by then.
