J joseph New member Apr 20, 2010 #1 I'm converting my road bike to a fixie and I have Vertical dropouts. I've heard things that you can't have a chain tensioner on a fixie but I don't know. If it helps the wheels that I'm looking at have flip flop hubs in case that changes anything
