First of all, in both movie and the novel, scientists worked on the creature in the dark and haunting environment and hid it from the outside. However, there is difference in how scientist created the creature and reacted to the creature they made. In the movie, the scientist creates the creature in a factory and before he made the creature, he made a plan and draft of the creature. The scientist worked on his plan or draft and created the creature and gives him a name, Edward. The scientist read to him and taught him about the things a person does in his daily life. Edward was like a human but yet incomplete, and the scientist died before he replaced his scissorhands with the human hands. On the other hand, in Frankenstein, Frankenstein created his creature in a science lab and chose the best part of the body to create the creature. When one night, Frankenstein saw the creature standing by his bed curtain, he ran away. Frankenstein rejected the creature he created. Edward was not the one who got rejected by his father but the Frankenstein’s creature.
Thank very much Megan for your help. It helps me a lot. Both creatures are the son and the scientists are the father who created the creatures like God created Adam. Frankenstein creature was ugly and monster looking, Frankenstein ran away after seeing his creature and rejected him cuz he was so ugly.
