Can you go to college and study the history or anthropology of brewing and distilling?

Indiana University allows you to design your own major, if you are serious enough about it. Will Shortz is the current editor of the New York Times Crossword Puzzle. He designed a major around games. I'm sure they would let you do one on food service and brewing and distilling.
 
The very prestigious UC Davis has an excellent degree program in Brewing Science. You may want to contact them about a history degree in your interest.
