Can you go blind if you have eyes prescription 725 and 700 and astigmatism?

My boyfriend has 725 and 700 eyes prescription on top of astigmatism. Will he go blind as a result of this? Is there any exercise or food he should eat to prevent his eyes from going even worse? I don't wear glasses so I have no idea what these means but they sound really high to me =O
