Can you get sued for having a sign of the Ten Commandments in your yard?

I heard of some people living a town over who have such a sign in their yard. One of their neighbors said that the sign offended them being where they could see it and demanded that they take it down or put it in their backyard or they would press charges. I can almost understand schools and other public buildings, even if I don't like it, but this is on private property. They should have every right to display the sign in their yard. I'm not entirely sure if this is true or not or if it is, whether it is an empty threat but I am wondering if they really can sue.
And as far as I know, there are no rules against having signs in yards.
