Can you get a gears of war 2 gold lancer from a USED limited edition?

I already ordered mine so it wont make much difference considering that all i want is the game and it was the cheapest one i could find (kinda weird being a limited edition and all) but im hearing you need a code for it? would the used version have this code or am i shit out of luck XD thanks for your answers
 
The only way you can use that code is if:

1) You will HAVE the code in the box.
2) They haven't used it already
3) It's not fake.
