Can you flash a phone to metro pcs and use it in Grand Rapids,Mi?

The local Metro pcs store in grand rapids does not flash phones (to my knowledge) but if i flash a phone from another carrier such as tmobile/sprint etc or buy a flashed phone of ebay, can I take it to the metro pcs store and have them put my on the 40$ plan with my flashed phone
