The schwinn world sport I bought recently came with 27x1-1/4 tires on it and I need to buy new ones. I figure since I'm doing that I would buy lighter tires while I'm at it and the smaller the tire the less it weights plus it just looks better if a tire is thinner. But can I fit say a one inch wide on my current rims? I was told I could get 1-1/8 inch tires I'm pretty sure and I was told it would also give me a smoother ride. Is this true and if so what would a one inch do for me? Thanks.
