I am looking to buy a professional tenor saxophone. Preferably a Selmer series III or Yanagisawa T-991. My problem is, that i want something different, colour wise. I would really like a black lacquer saxophone because they have a really nice tone colour and look really cool but i am having a real problem finding places on the net and otherwise that sell them.
Family members have been doing Research and apparently yanagisawa hasn't made a black sax in 5 years and selmer haven't ever.
I live in sydney, Australia so it would be convenient if i could buy a sax in australia to save on shipping costs and taxes. And I need a price range of about $4300 and lower. But the lower the better lol.
So my questions actually are:
Is there anywhere i can find a Professional black lacquer sax, within my price range, preferably in Australia and of the model and brands i described earlier up?
Is there anything bad about the black lacquer that i should know about, has anyone had any experience with a saxophone like this?
And is there any other kind of cool saxophone colour or metal tint, that looks really good and is available in the professional saxophone varietes?
