My transfer case motor on my truck is broken but i cant really drop 100 bucks on a new one. I have heard that if the take the little plastic cover off of the gear that the transfer case motor connects you can get a pair of needle nose pliars and turn it manually. Can you actually do this and if so how do you know when to stop, can you feel when it drops into 4 hi and low?
Can you do this with a 2002 ford ranger transfer case?
