I'd like to dispute my school's Fin.Aid policies. Who would I contact for this?
I do not think it is fair that my school uses my Pell grant money before my State grant money. Pell grant can be used for anything: tuition,fees,books, misc and can also be used for summer school. My State grant can ONLY be used for tuition and not for summer school.
Pell 2600 semester
State 1400 semester
Tuition 3000...that SHOULD leave me with 1,000 for books but it doesnt because my school uses the full 2600 Pell and then uses 400 out of the state grant to pay for tuition. Now my tuition is covered but have Nothing left over for books and Nothing left over for summer school. My program Forces me to take 11 credits in the summer and I'll have to get loans because of this Stupid Policy to use my Pell before State.
If they used my State grant First, I'd have 1,000 Pell left for books and maybe alittle for summer, now I gotta take out a lot of Loans even though I SHOULD have leftover grant money.
