Britax say that the baby car seat we have from them will not fit on the back seats on the Celica or the Cougar - think it's due to them being bucket seats/small - but that the car seat will install safely on the front passenger seat, HOWEVER, the airbag must be disabled.
On another car I'm considering (Alfa Romeo GTV) from '98 on there is actually an option to disable the airbag. I can't seem to find any info regarding this on a Celica or Cougar circa '98-'99 - anyone have any ideas?
Obviously you could take it to a garage and manually remove but I don't really want to do this.
