What I want to do is connect one wireless router in one room to another in a deferent room using Ethernet I want it to work like a switch but also have wireless access in that room as well but that is not really important if it cant be done. What I have in mind is to run one Ethernet cable from the router port that is not being used to another room and hook it up to a deferent router so I can have more ports in that room and also have a closer wireless signal. If that cant be done, then would I be able to uses a switch instead of the extra router in that room to have the ports that I need? (So I would connect the new ran Ethernet line to the router and then the switch in the room where I need the ports)
I have a Linksys 2.4GHz 802.11g wireless router with 5 ports and I have not purchased the second router or switch because I also want to know if it would be better if they were the same make or model?
