I'd like to get a Droid but I don't want to be roped into a contract; of course, if you don't get the contract, the phone price is bumped up to $400; I see people selling "unlocked" ones on eBay and just want to make sure I can actually get one activated with Verizon if I choose to go that way. My default plan is to get an unlocked Motorola Droid Milestone since it is GSM and I can get a AT&T SIM card to activate it, but I'd rather go with Verizon if I have a choice.
Can you buy an "unlocked' Motorola Droid from eBay and have it activated on verizon?
