can you bump start a suzuki dr650se?

You ought to be able to. As far as I can tell, the flywheel ignition does not require the battery. However, I have never had any success bump-starting mine, even with the battery working.

Mine just skids the rear wheel in 2nd 3rd and 4th. Maybe I need to try 5th. OTOH, my KLR pops right off.

what is up chuck? put the bike in second gear, this will help to keep the rear wheel from locking up, a little push and a little spark left in your battery it might come back to life, if the battery is stone cold dead you ain't going know where!!
