Can you blow a palm one zire 31 with a power surge?

I think we had a power surge and now my palm one zire 31 won't work anymore. I've tried resetting it - I don't know if there's a "circuit breaker" inside on something so small - the USB isn't doing anything by hooking it to the computer. Is it possible to reset it or is it blown? Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?
