Can you be as good as the softball players who have played their whole life,

if you start late? Like if they've been playing since they were 4, and they're really good and you've been playing since you were 9 is there any way that you can be as good as them??

I've been playing for 3 years. I can play anywhere, mostly infield. I made my middle school team, and I can easily hit it to the outfield. I know the rules, and the only problem I have with throwing is i'm side armed.
