Can you be a chaste after you had sex?

K guys, I recently spoke to a friend,
She told me she was a chaste now,
but i know she has had sex before,
Is it really possible to call yourself a chaste?
I mean you lost your chastity.
Sure you can have an abstinence pledge,
but you dont count as a chaste rite?

she's refraining from the act so i guess she could say she's chaste-pure in the mind at least. but she has already been defiled so she's not exactly chaste either. lets just say at the moment she's chaste.

Sure.

She can be chaste. it would be different if she was saying she was a virgin now. Chaste just means shes not hooking up now.
