Can you advance as an Army Medic/Health Care Specialist fairly quick?

Hey, I'm joining the army active duty, and I've been wondering about how fast would i be able to advance rank. Granted this is a hypothetically question. But lets say i'm really good at what I do. What all goes into rank advancement? Thanks for your input.
I'll be entering as an E3, because i have my associates degree. I guess i should have said can someone make N.C.O fairly quick. Thanks again
 
It goes by promotion points. And Army medics are usually on the middle levels of them.

You get points by going to boards in front of your superiors and answering questions. Doing well at the rifle range, physical fitness test, getting awards, civilian and military education also add points.

Medics can get ranks pretty fast. My friend got to E-6 in four and a half years, which is the fastest you can reach that rank.
