My friend gave me her old Alltel LG prepaid phone but its been too long since its had money on it so now it's deactivated. Can I still activate it even though Verizon has bought Alltel out? Alltel doesn't service in my area anymore but it shouldn't be a problem, it's a cheap little phone that Verizon should work on. I already bought minutes for it before realizing it was deactivated. I hope I didn't waste 20 bucks but I'm thinking I did... Is there any way to activate and use this phone?
