Can you access EA downloaded games years later?

If you download a game and then stop playing for a couple years, can you re-download the game again? I know that with steam I didn't use my account for years and I finally installed it again. Good old counter strike was still there. Will this be the case for EA? Can I download a game years later? I've been reading some bad things about EA's download service.

Also, can I just burn the downloaded game to a DVD?
