Can Windows Media Player Visualization catch music/noise from the mic and play visuals?

I am having a party with live band. I also have a projector screen in the hall. I want to be able to connect my laptop to the projector so that the laptops microphone can catch the live music noise and play the visuals on the projector accordingly.

Is this possible to achieve?
